Bevels: Refine by Remembering Who Came Before

A bevel is a moment of refinement. In dance, it is the angle that makes a line sing. In a career, it is the adjustment that makes a goal achievable.

I refine my teaching by returning to the roots of jazz dance and by watching the artists who are pushing it forward today. The past gives us structure; the present gives us permission to evolve.
